The Trustees shall hold the Trust Funds aftermentioned for the benefit of the public for charitable purposes only within the meaning assigned thereto by the law for the time being in force to provide housing and any associated amenities for the aged and infirm, and for others in necessitous circumstances and to advance and promote research, academic and practical, into the subject of provision of housing for the public with particular reference, but without prejudice to the foregoing generality, to Housing Association, Housing Societies and similar organisations, including research into forms of tenure of heritable property and to disseminate the results of such research for the public benefit
