Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To promote, secure and support or to assist in the promotion, securing and support of such purposes which will benefit the individuals or groups involved in the study of the Works of Robert Burns within the Dumfries and Galloway area of Scotland as are charitable in law, in the furtherance of the following objects and purposes, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing. 4.2 To foster and support the education of the community by stimulating the interest of younger and senior members of the public, in the life and works of Robert Burns. 4.3 To collect, preserve, restore and publish books, manuscripts and recordings for the benefit education and enjoyment of the community and for these purposes to establish, maintain and develop libraries or other premises for the storage, display and lending to the public such books, manuscripts and recordings.
