What the charity exists to do

The charity is set up to achieve the objectives set out above. This will involve a programme of works to consolidate and make secure the castle ruins. ensure that the church is kept wind & watertight. and eventually to provide safe access to the public to view the buildings. To this end, the charity seeks to raise money to achieve these goals.

Constitutional objectives

The objects for which the Trust is established is to own, promote and safeguard the castellated buildings known as Pitsligo Castle in the Parish of Pitsligo and County of Aberdeen together with the gardens and woodlands pertaining thereto, and in particular to effect the restoration, renovation and refurbishment thereof as a building of national, historic and architectural importance and to promote and use the same for research into matters of historical, architectural, cultural or sociological interest and to carry out all such works, activities and pursuits as may be necessary to achieve all or any of the foregoing, to use the buildings, gardens and woodlands for public amenity, recreation and education and generally to undertake and permit all activities calculated to achieve any of the foregoing objects
