The charity is set up to advance the education of the general public concerning the Clan Munro and the social and natural history of the Ferindonald and Cromarty Firth areas.. It does this by: 1) maintaining an exhibition and visitor centre and museum open to the general public, and 2) by carrying out study and research for the benefit of the public into the history of the Clan Munro and the social and natural history of the area,
