What the charity exists to do
To assist organists throughout Scotland in their role as employees of various church denominations. to advise on organ maintenance and relocation of redundant organs. to advise on and publicise redundant organs. to raise awareness of the heritage value of organs within Scotland. to assist churches to develop the potential of organs as a cultural asset. Local organists' associations are updated on information as any situation develops

Constitutional objectives
‘The objects of the Federation shall be (1) to advance the education of the members and the public in the art of music with special reference to organ and choral music. and (2) to promote the advancement of the arts, heritage and culture through organ music and the work of organists in Scotland, and in furtherance thereof:’
