02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our vision is to create 'better todays and brighter tomorrow's for Fife's lone parents and families in need'. We deliver family support services that respond to the immediate needs of our communities to ensure children and young people are growing up in safe, warm and happy homes. All of our work is grounded in tackling child poverty with short-term fixes (such as heat & eat grants to tackle food and fuel poverty) and longer-term solutions (such as income maximisation and good employment). Through our projects our staff and volunteers engage families, support them on their journey and enable them to progress. We continue to identify emerging themes from our family support services and highlight key policy areas where systemic structural change is needed. Amplifying the voice of vulnerable families in Fife, Scotland and the UK. Through new initiatives we show our commitment to a change agenda.
