02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Deveron Projects is a socially-engaged arts organisation based in Huntly, a rural town in North-East Scotland. Our work builds deep and meaningful collaboration between artists, communities and places through the process of making art. We have 5 strategic aims: 1 Make collaborative place-based artworks in Huntly that build movements, connected internationally. 2 Build resilient, connected and self-determining communities. 3 Innovate responsive, accessible and nourishing residency-based commissions and supportive frameworks for local, national and international artists. 4 Embrace complex narratives, cultures and relationships with(in) Huntly, contributing to inclusive, regenerative futures for our town, and connecting Huntly internationally. 5 Deepen equitable and experimental practices in every aspect of our work and share this with mutual exchange and leadership across our networks and partnerships, whilst furthering sustainability.
