02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity was set up to preserve the Eriskay Pony breed andto expandits numbers. This is done directly by maintaining a breed studbook, providong advice to breeders on suitable matches for breeding using software, supporting breeders with genral advice, providing grants to breeders. The Society also participates in genetic studies related to the breed and the wider equine world, and has commissioned scientific investigation into the breed genetics. The Society also carries educatational activities to publicies the breed, and provides informationto a wide range of publications.es and

Constitutional objectives
