02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We aim to provide consistent high quality, safe, secure, happy and stimulation childcare to parents and children in and around Langholm, Dumfries and Galloway. Langholm Playcare Ltd acknowledges every child is an individual, with individual needs. The play and learning opportunities offered are aimed to help children develop to the best of their ability. We aim to provide continuity of childcare delivered by professional, qualified staff tailored to the child's individual needs.

Constitutional objectives
(a) To promote the care and education of children of all ages in need of care during out of school hours and school holidays, and the provision of nursery care. (b) To promote the provision of facilities for the recreation and other leisure-time occupation of children in need of care during out of school hours and school holidays in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life. (c) To advance the education and training of persons providing such care and education and recreational facilities. (d) To promote, establish and operate other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the inhabitants of Langholm and environs.
