02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Charity was set up to benefit the community of Eskdale achieved by providing funds to help local organisations and undertaking projects . Projects include developing the former police station in Langholm into affordable housing, owning Community Shop, maintaining the exterior of local public toilets, running Sports Centre and owning 8 properties ( 4 are classed as affordable housing and 4 are let according to certain criteria. We are currently working with Dumfries & Galloway Council to build a Changing Places Toilet facility in Langholm.

But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development
