02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Squadron Association supports 1068 (Nairn) Squadron RAF Air Cadets by providing resources, equipment and welfare assistance that enhance cadet training and development. We raise, manage and apply non-public funds to complement what is provided from the public purse, enabling activities that foster adventure, leadership and good citizenship. The Committee works with the Squadron’s Officer Commanding to fund essential items such as IT equipment, broadband, training materials and welfare support, and helps ensure cadets can participate fully in courses, events and community activities.

Constitutional objectives
The purpose of the Squadron Association (‘the Association’) is to fully support the squadron commander to further the objects of the Air Training Corps (‘the ATC’) as contained in the Schedule to the Royal Warrant as amended from time to time but in particular to support activities which foster the spirit of adventure amongst the squadron’s cadets and develop their qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
