02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
CVOEA is the third sector interface for East Ayrshire, which exists to support and strengthen our local third sector. We operate within East Ayrshire, providing services and guidance to help third sector organisations to thrive.CVOEA supports the growth of a strong and diverse third sector empowering organisations and initiatives that work to enhance the quality of life for individuals and communities across East Ayrshire. To achieve our aims we undertake the following activities: Advancement of education: providing training in various skills, particularly those that assist residents in obtaining paid employment. Furtherance of health: implementing initiatives that contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of the community. Relief of poverty, distress, and sickness: supporting schemes aimed at alleviating hardship among community members. Community development: establishing, operating, and supporting projects of a charitable nature that benefit the EA community.

Constitutional objectives
To promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of east ayrshire and in particular the advancement of education, the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness. to promote and/ or provide training in skill of all kinds, particularly such skills as will assist residents of East Ayrshire in obtaining paid employment. To promote, establish, operate and or support other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community within East Ayrshire. To do all other things as will properly achieve the above purposes without bias to race, creed or gender and seek to positively promote equal opportunities.
