02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The choir holds regular rehearsals to improve members’ knowledge and abilities in choral music, enabling them to perform liturgical music in St Mary's Cathedral when the regular choir are not available, and to stage periodical concerts of sacred and secular choral music for the general public

Constitutional objectives
The objects (“Objects”) of the Singers shall be to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music by public presentation and by such other ways as the Committee (defined in Clause 8(a) below) may from time to time decide. and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the Committee may from time to time decide.
