02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our primary function is to run the village hall, making it available to the community for hire (either private or the provision of services). We also run events including concerts and monthly coffee mornings and other fund-raising activities to meet the financial expenditure requirements of the Hall

  • the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended

Constitutional objectives

The Organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 To advance citizenship and community development 4.2 To support and promote the health, welfare, education and recreation of the communities of Kentallen and Duror 4.3 To support and promote the protection and improvement of the local and nearby environment of Kentallen and Duror for the communities of Kentallen and Duror and for visitors 4.4 To support and promote the improvement of communications of all kinds within and out-with the communities and the areas of Kentallen and Duror 4.5 Further, to fulfil the above purposes, to provide and maintain facilities to include a community centre and/or such other hub or place of contact as well as such other facilities as may be appropriate and achievable for the attainment of the foregoing purposes
