02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

During the year monthly meetings were held with various speakers and demonstrations which provided learning for the members. These evening also provide a platform for social meetings, which is important in a small rural community, allowing members to come together and new people to the community to meet and make friends. The rural has run some events to raise awareness and also to raise money for other charities. Some of the members took part in sporting competitions and members also had the opportunity to attend classes to learn new crafts, cooking and other skills at specific training events held by the Federation and National Offices during the year. Opportunity to go on arranged outings with the own group and with other groups.
