Constitutional objectives

For payment of my lawful debts, deathbed and funeral expenses and the expenses of administering the Trust it being my instructions that my funeral should be private and that my remains should be cremated and the ashes interred with those of my husband, the late Doctor James Alexander mearns, at Springbank Cemetery, Aberdeen, after which the lair should be finally sealed off. I direct my Trustees to use their best efforts to maintain the grave at Springbank Cemetery and should the said grave not be maintained in perpetuity by the local authority, my Trustees will set aside sufficient funds to meet the cost of regular maintenance.
