What the charity exists to do
For the following charitable purposes:- namely the encouragement of education and research primarily in United Kingdom Universities through the awards of Scholarships, Grants and Bursaries or otherwise DECLARING that so far as practicable the Trustees shalI assist primarily to support studies by people of Tibetan origin all without prejudice to their absolute discretion to choose the scholars, research students, bursars and others and the subjects and the Universities or Colleges or other educational institutions to benefit the Trust.

Constitutional objectives
(One) for payment of all the expenses of management of the Trust. (Two) for the following charitable purposes:- namely the encouragement of education and research primarily in United Kingdom Universities through the awards of Scholarships, Grants and Bursaries or otherwise DECLARING that so far as practicable the Trustees shaiI assist primarily to support studies by people of Tibetan origin all without prejudice to their absolute discretion to choose the scholars, research students, bursars and others and the subjects and the Universities or Colleges or other educational institutions to benefit the Trust with power during a period of Twenty one years from the date of execution of this Deed of Trust to accumulate income not required for expenses or distributions including power to build up the size of the fund to achieve the charitable purposes more meaningfully WITH THE PROVISO THAT should the Trustees consider that these charitable purposes have at any time become incapable of being fulfilled for any reason including changes in social and economic circumstances and changes in law then they shall have power to declare revocably or irrevocably that the Fund shall thereafter be held and the Trust administered for such other charitable purposes as they shall in their absolute discretion select.
