02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Organise (free of Charge) Children's Day of Dance for all Primary Schools in North Ayrshire. Provide instructors to visit schools in preparation for this. Pay for young musicians to play at Children's Day of Dance and provide instructors for the actual day. Provide a suitable venue. Hold weekly classes in Scottish Country Dancing seasonally. Organise Social events promoting Scottish Country Dancing. Provide dancers for and when appropriate, organise Public Displays of Scottish Country Dancing.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of the Local Association shall be to advance the education of the public in traditional Scottish Country Dance and in furtherance thereof :- (a) To preserve and further the practice of traditional Scottish Country Dances. (b) To provide or assist in providing instruction in the dancing of Scottish Country Dances. (c) To promote the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish Country Dancing and Music by any suitable means. (d) Generally to do such other things as, or may be considered by the Local Association to, further the foregoing objects of the Society in North Ayrshire.
