02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We support individuals to identify any barriers they may have to employment. These could include a lack of skills and experience, limited confidence, anxiety, living in a rural area or not having access to transport (including not having a driving licence). Our Transition Support Service has supported young people with additional support needs since March 2014. We support young people aged 14-26 to identify and reach their goals. This could be training, work experience, full or part-time employment, or to help access further education. We support young people with a range of conditions including autism, additional support needs, mental health issues, alcohol or substance use, care experience, and offending behaviour.
