02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity exists to provide and maintain a village hall for the benefit of the local community. The hall is primarily rented by the local council for use by the village school, providing facilities for school meals and physical education classes. Outside school use, the hall is available for hire by community groups, clubs and individuals for a wide range of activities, including bridge clubs, dance classes, meetings, social events and other community functions. The charity achieves its purpose by maintaining safe, accessible and well equipped community faacility that supports education, recreation and social inclusion, while providing an affordable venue for local organisations and residents.

Constitutional objectives
The said subjects and the building erected thereon (hereinafter referred to as 'the Trust subjects') are dedicated and shall be held by us and our successors as Trustees in all time coming for the purposes of physical and mental training and recreation, and social, moral andd intellectual development through the medium of lectures, classes, recreation or otherwise as may be found expedient of the inhabitants of Colliston in the County of Angus without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions subject to the provisions of these presents.
