What the charity exists to do

The charity's mission is to advance the education of the general public about Indian art. The charity sets to achieve this mission by providing grants to both individuals and organisations who require assistance with academic projects concerned with Indian art, or with exhibitions, lectures and symposia on the subject. While the Dallapiccola Foundation is a charity registered in Scotland, funding is provided to successful applicants worldwide so long as the eligibility criteria are met.

The advancement of the education of the Public about Indian Art by:- (a) The promotion or assistance in the promotion of academic projects concerned with Indian Art particularly, but not exclusively, associated with the regions of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa and Bengal (b) the foundation, endowment and equipment of universities, colleges and other centres of learning or similar status, concerned with the study of Indian Art (c) the establishment of educational scholarships of any kind at any University, College or place of higher learning for the purpose of advancing the study of Indian Art (d) the promotion of interest in Indian Art through exhibitions, lectures, symposia or other media
