02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The MID Argyll Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society provides instruction and guidance on how to dance. We meet every week and provide a beginners session and a regular session for everyone else. It allows a variety of age groups to participate . It brings people together socially and is good for physical and mental health well being. The committee meet regularly to review to plan and arrange dances which include a live band . We welcome suggestions and feedback from our members .

Constitutional objectives
(a) To preserve and further the practice of traditional Scottish Country Dances and modern dances of merit in the traditional style (b) To provide or assist in providing instruction in the dancing of Scottish Country Dances (c) To promote the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish Country Dancing and Music by any suitable means (d) Generally to do such other things as are or may be considered by the Local Association to further the foregoing objects of the Society in the district or area to which it relates
