02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our purposes, as recorded in our constitution, are to prornote Country Dancing including organising events on behalf of the users of the Society and to raise funds for Country Dancing and to finance various social events. The RSCDS Falkirk Branch constitution states: 'To promote the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish country dancing and music by any suitable means. Dancing classes resumed in October 2021 with one evening and one afternoon class but no dances until May 2023, when the Joint Dance was resumed in Tillicoultry, followed by Larbert in June, 2024. We plan to seek more possible venues for classes for this coming year. The branch may decide to disburse some more funds to appropriate project(s) during the coming years although none was disbursed last three years.
