02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The objectives of the Trust are: a) The alleviation or prevention of human suffering of any kind whatsoever and the aid of the carers of those who are suffering. b) The advancement of the education and training of individuals, particularly those under the age of 25 years whose progress is impeded by financial difficulties. c) The preservation and conservation for the benefit of the public of buildings and land of historic or architectural interest.

Constitutional objectives

For payment of the whole or such part of the free income and the whole or such part of the capital of the Trust Estate as the Trustees may from time to time consider desirable for such charitable purposes or to such charitable institutions, societies, foundations or funds as the Trustees may in their sole discretion select. In particular and notwithstanding the foregoing, we would like the Trustees by the provision of financial assistance or otherwise directly or indirectly to support encourage and aid in the UK or overseas the following specific purposes: (a) The alleviation or prevention of human suffering of any kind whatsoever and to aid the carers of those who are suffering (b) The advancement of the education and training of individuals, in particular those under the age of twenty-five years or whose progress is impeded by financial difficulties
