02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The club’s aim is to provide social and educational opportunities in a relaxed environment, and its key objective is to encourage the integration and education of adults resident in Midlothian who have additional support needs. Weekly the club has around 40 participants (members and volunteers). Members have the opportunity to attend a cooking class, play games on tablets, a music group or to participate in crafts and games or spend time socialising. The club also meets the cost of an annual visit to the Pantomime, a Christmas party, an entertainment night around Easter and subsidises the cost of an end of session meal – social activities that are rare opportunities for members.
