The Trust is a grant-making charity in the main, but does deliver services on occasion. The key beneficiary group is the inhabitants of the communities of South Queensferry, Dalmeny and KIrkliston.

(i) To protect and preserve the good health both physical and mental of the public generally but particularly the public in the communities of South Queensferry, Dalmeny and Kirkliston (ii) To advance the education of the public concerning the conditions of society which affect young people particularly in the field of drug abuse by promoting scholarship and understanding of such conditions and by fostering inter-disciplinary enquiries relating to such conditions (iii) To advance the education of the public concerning the conditions of society affecting elderly people particularly their loneliness and social isolation by promoting scholarship and understanding of such conditions and by fostering inter-disciplinary enquiries relating to such conditions (iv) To provide, or assist in the provision of, facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for those in need thereof particularly the inhabitants of the communities of South Queensferry, Dalmeny and Kirkliston
