“The charitable purpose of the BCC is to provide support, advice and information to adult carers and young adult carers in order to enable people who are carers to have the same quality of life as non-carers. This is done by the following means: 4.1 The provision of advice, information and training opportunities to carers 4.2 Support for carers on an individual basis and mutual support through carers groups 4.3 Provision of advocacy for carers 4.4 Provision of opportunities for volunteers to become involved in the work of the Borders Carers Centre 4.5 Ensuring carers have a voice in the planning and provision of health and social care services of the Scottish Borders.”
