02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Provide services to the local community as defined in the Articles. Raise funds to improve facilities locally and improve community involvement and social interaction. Support the community through grants and subsidies using funds generated locally and through grant applications. Ensure all of the community are given the opportunity to be involved in activities from toddlers through to older people. aiming to reduce social isolation. Carried out by advertising events, groups and facilities available through social media and posters. Several projects underway including community garden / polytunnel. history and heritage group. Youth Club and community cafe. Groups ranging from craft groups through to exercise and ceilidh dancing use the hall on a regular basis. Seeking to build six homes for the local community using funds generated through the fairy pools car park.

Constitutional objectives
3.1 The Company shall operate for the public benefit in pursuance of the following charitable purposes or objects: 3.1.1 The advancement of citizenship or community development, in particular, but without limitation: 3.1.1.1 the management of community land and associated assets for the benefit of the Community and the general public. and 3.1.1.2 urban and/or rural regeneration. 3.1.2 To provide recreational facilities and/or organise recreational activities (in each case, available to members of the public at large), with the object of improving the conditions of life for those living, working or visiting the Community. 3.1.3 To advance education, and in particular to increase public knowledge of the history, culture, heritage and environment of, and/or other points of interest associated with, the Community. 3.1.4 To advance environmental protection and improvement within the Community, in particular, but without limitation: 3.1.4.1 advancing sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment. 3.1.4.2 the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community. and 3.1.4.3 the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community. and 3.1.5 to carry out any other business which may be advantageously carried on in connection with this article 3.1.
