What the charity exists to do
Charitable Purpose - To advance environmental protection and improvement, citizenship and community development, and education through practical nature-based activity. Mission - Through nature connection and celebration, we nurture health and wellbeing for our community. We deliver inclusive, meaningful, and hands-on education and volunteering, and we apply sustainable ecological practices across our land management, partnerships, and operations.

The SCIO’s purposes are to benefit principally the community of [the Heartlands of Fife] which comprises the following postcodes KY1, KY2, KY3, KY4, KY5, KY6 and KY7] (“the Community”) with the following objects: 4.1 The advancement of community development (including the advancement of urban and rural regeneration) principally within the Community. 4.2 The advancement of Education 4.3 The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science 4.4 The provision of recreational facilities or the organisation of recreational activities to improve the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. 4.5 The advancement of environmental protection or improvement But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
