02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Wauchope Hall is a community hall In Yetholm which is used for events and activities for the benefit of the community including entertainment events, sports activities and other community activities. The hall is also available for use by the local community for celebrations and funerals. The Committee meets regularly and oversees the upkeep and management of the hall including lettings, cleaning arrangements and financial governance.

The said subjects described in the aforesaid Disposition with the building erected thereon are dedicated and shall be held by the aforesaid Trustees in all time corning for the purposes of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Yetholm and environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants
