02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Chinese Evangelical Church in Edinburgh is a Christian church established to promote the Christian faith and provide a place of worship, fellowship and spiritual support for people in the local community, particularly those from Chinese-speaking backgrounds. We fulfil these purposes through regular Sunday worship services, Bible teaching, prayer meetings, Christian fellowship and pastoral support. We also organise activities and programmes for children, young people and adults, and provide opportunities for members and others in the community to learn about and engage with the Christian faith. The church seeks to support the wellbeing of its members and the wider community by providing practical and pastoral care, encouraging mutual support and fellowship, and making our activities accessible to people from different backgrounds.
