02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Company's objects are the relief of widows and children and orphans or dependent parents of (or other persons dependent upon) fishermen forming the crews of vessels contributing to the Company in the prescribed manner, who may die or be lost at sea, or who may die on shore, and the relief of member fishermen who through illness or injury may become incapacitated from duty provided such persons are in necessitous circumstances
