02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The objective of the charity is to provide facilities for recreation and leisure in the parish of North Uist. The Trustees still work on the basis that it is paramount that the hall performs a dual function: First of offering local residents facilities for the uses specified in our original applications for funding, for meetings, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure.

Constitutional objectives

The subjects and the building erected thereon shall be held by the Trustees and their successors as Trustees in all time coming to provide in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation and other leisure time activity available to the public at large within the districts of Locheport, Claddach Carinish and Knockquien, Carinish, Baleshare, Claddach Baleshare, lIIeray, Claddach lIIeray, Claddach Kirkibost, Grimsay and Bayhead, all in the Parish of North Uist, with a view to improving their conditions of life
