To preserve, protect and refurbish this 127 year old grade A listed building for the use of the local community and surrounding areas.

Constitutional objectives

To advance heritage and culture which shall include promoting for the public benefit the preservation (whether wholly or in part) of buildings and other structures of historic, religious and/or architectural significance within the Pollokshaws area of Glasgow ('the Operating Area'). To advance education among the residents of the Operating Area. To relieve unemployment and to promote training and skills of all kinds, particularly such skills as will assist residents of the Operating Area in obtaining paid employment. To provide recreational facilities and to organise recreational activities, with such facilities/activities being available to the residents of the Operating Area, with the object of improving their conditions of life. To relieve and/or prevent poverty among residents of the Operating Area. To advance health among residents of the Operating Area. To relieve those in need within the Operating Area by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. To advance community development and regeneration within the Operating Area, which shall include promoting civic responsibility, volunteering, the voluntary sector and the effectiveness or efficiency of charities. To preserve , restore and improve the environment particularly within the Operating Area through the provision, maintenance or improvement of public parks, public open space and other public amenities and other environmental and townscape projects, and in doing so, to seek wherever appropriate (but subject to appropriate safeguards to ensure that the public benefit so arising clearly outweighs any private benefit thereby conferred on private landowners) to carry out works of reclamation, remediation, restoration and other operations to facilitate the use for those purposes of land whose use has been prevented or restricted because of previous use. To promote, establish, operate and/or support similar schemes and projects which further charitable purposes
