OSCR note: This SCIO was incorporated on 26 November 2012 as a result of a Change to SCIO application by Maryculter Driving For The Disabled Group (SC028630), which was an unincorporated association registered as a charity since 30 November 1998.

02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We provide a weekly Carriage Driving session for disabled adults with our specially adapted Riding for Disabled approved horse and carriage, from April to October each year. Sessions are supported by a team of volunteers alongside our specially trained coaches. The weekly session also includes a social aspect with teas and cake and chat provided.

The organisation's purpose is to promote the objects of the Riding for the Disabled Association incorporating Carriage Driving (Company No 5010395) a charity registered under Charity Number SC039473 ('the Company') by providing disabled people with the opportunity to ride and/or to carriage drive to benefit their health and well being in the Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen area.
