02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are a voluntary committee and have been for the last 50 years, our remit is to provide facilities for the Blacklands Community and surrounding areas and also to help any vulnerable people with food and utilities etc for which we seek out grand funding to be able to do this and we also have a free lunch club for anyone to attend we also have a close relationship with the local schools and sheltered housing.

Constitutional objectives
To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and for leisure time occupation and so that the conditions of life of the aforementioned inhabitants may be improved.
