02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Minard Community Trust owns and manages Minard Village Hall and the former shop building. The efforts of the Trust are focused on ensuring the ongoing maintenance of both for community use. Community events are hosted by the Trust such as the Community bonfire and fireworks, Beach Clean, Litter Pick, BBQ and Pantomime. We continue to promote local group activity and worked, with many volunteers from the local community, to maintain an outdoor seating area at Minard foreshore and we helped to facilitate groups utilising the Hall. We made successful applications to A'Chruach Community Fund –Windfarm Micro Grants to facilitate the replacement of planters within the community area at Minard foreshore and to facilitate ongoing works to the Jubilee Garden at Minard Foreshore and the Achagoyle bridge foot path. We continue to promote kindness within the Community with ongoing assistance where required. Treats were delivered around the village at Christmas time.
