02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
With encouragement and guidance from the trustees in the restoration and upkeep of historical railway assets, volunteers, participants, and young railway apprentices develop and enhance their knowledge and practical skills. That we not only do we preserve the assets, but the techniques and practices involved in this are carried on a generation. So not only do the assets survive but the process of survival is understood and passed on.

Constitutional objectives
To advance the education of the public about railways in the Highlands of Scotland including their formation, use, history, equipment, rolling stock, etc. and any other relevant matters pertaining to such railways.
