02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Kintyre Link Club is set up to support people in Kintyre who have lived experience of poor mental health. Its aim is to promote recovery, wellbeing, and inclusion by offering a safe, friendly, and supportive space where members can connect, gain confidence, and rebuild purpose. The club runs a drop-in service five days a week, providing creative, social, and wellbeing activities such as art, music, mindfulness, swimming, and healthy lunches. These activities help reduce isolation, improve self-esteem, and encourage personal growth. The club also works closely with local organisations, volunteers, and health professionals to strengthen community links and provide an important bridge between professional mental health services and everyday community life.
