02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To address the recreational and leisure needs of inhabitants/visitors through the provision of sports and exercise facilities accessible to all (subject to certain eligibility criteria for the Fitness Room). All weather pitch is open 8am to 10pm Football and Tennis coaching, Netball. Casual play happens most evening The primary school has free use of the pitch. Special events take place. Visitors can rent the facilities (tennis, football, gym) The fitness room is available 24/7 (overs 16s only) We advertise in our monthly village magazine, through the Primary school, Facebook and the Village website.

Constitutional objectives

The Association is a non-profit-distributing voluntary organisation, which aims to promote, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Newcastleton and surrounding areas and visitors to the area, without distinction of sex, political, religious or other opinions, providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
