02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We are a small outreach team proactively supporting vulnerable individuals within a Connected Community Model, linking people into support tailored to their needs, including poor mental and physical health, addiction, offending, trauma and homelessness. We link individuals into Recovery Cafes, Group Work and dedicated programmes, and our staff deliver intensive, 1-1 trauma and addictions support. We assist individuals into Crisis Intervention or Residential Rehabilitation facilities, and meet people coming out of Rehabilitation or prison to introduce them to a supportive community. We support individuals within prison and on the outside, connecting them to support upon release. We link people into volunteering opportunities, sometimes leading to employment. and advocate for people needing support with Criminal Justice, medical issues, housing, and money/benefits. We also offer emergency practical support such as food and clothing where clients are in immediate need.
