02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

A rural development charity, with an environmental, rural regeneration and community focus, The Southern Uplands Partnership is perfectly placed to support the communities of southern Scotland with a team that brings together a wealth of knowledge, research skills, community capacity building, project delivery and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Our 'big picture' view is a world where there is understanding and appreciation that to be truly sustainable, we have to give equal consideration to social, economic and environmental needs at a time of rapid biodiversity loss and climate change.
