02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Due to health and safety concerns since October 2024, the Tureen Street hub has been temporarily unavailable for use for the clubs. The Committee continue to have their monthly meetings in the Calton Heritage and Learning Centre (CHLC) and invite Thenue staff to the meetings for updates. They are currently using an external venue on a Monday for Bingo and have use of the CHLC on a Monday and Thursday afternoon. They also have a drop in at the local Morrisons on a Wednesday where our tenants have a cuppa and a catch up and organise planned seasonal activities. The Christmas and Panto were a huge success and more recently the annual bus run to Ayr was well attended and enjoyed by the Retirement Tenants and friends.
