02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity is set up to provide a much needed community space within our village. The hall hosts weekly groups and clubs for all ages and a venue for fundraising, community get togethers, private hires and an emergency venue, should it be required, if there was a need within the community.

Constitutional objectives

The Burghead Community Hall and its outbuildings are dedicated and shall be held by us and our successors as Trustees in all time coming as a Hall for the purpose of physical and mental training and recreation and social, moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms, lectures, classes, recreations and entertainments or otherwise as may be found expedient of the inhabitants of the Burgh of Burghead in the County of Moray and its immediate vicinity, without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions subject to the provisions of these presents.
