What the charity exists to do
Our vision is for Edinburgh to be the premier city for volunteering in the UK. A city where the positive impact of volunteering is universally valued and respected, and where everyone, regardless of their background or situation has the opportunity to contribute as active citizens and volunteers. We build strong social connections, reduce inequalities and support vibrant communities through volunteers and volunteering activities. We achieve this through: our brokerage role – recruiting and placing volunteers for organisations. by supporting organisations to offer quality volunteering experiences. by influencing and informing public policy on volunteering. by developing new models of volunteer engagement. and by celebrating the contribution and impact of volunteers in Edinburgh.
