02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our charity provides support services for those most disadvantaged within the communities of North Ayrshire. CLASP currently provides a HOPE project for over 50’s in efforts to reduce isolation and loneliness, improve health and wellbeing, improve digital skills for those older people digitally excluded and provide information to help older people make informed decisions on issues affecting them. We do this by delivering a social activity programme including lunch clubs, social events and outings, health and wellbeing classes, one to one and small group digital support, information talks, one to one befriending in home and telephone befriending. The charity employs staff who are supported by a team of volunteers who are recruited, trained and vetted to support service delivery.
