02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity is a Chinese temple established to promote compassion, peace, and moral living through Buddhist teachings and community service. We provide a place for worship, meditation, and the study of Buddhist philosophy, supporting spiritual growth and ethical living. As part of our charitable work, we offer free vegan meals to the public, encouraging kindness, non-violence, and healthy, sustainable living. We also hold Dharma talks, cultural events, and educational activities that foster understanding, mindfulness, and community harmony. Guided by Buddhist values, our mission is to nurture inner peace and social wellbeing, bringing people together in compassion and respect for all living beings.
