What the charity exists to do

The volunteer group of the hall hold at dance at New Year to funds for the upkeep of the hall. We rent out the hall to local groups to hold their meetings in.

Constitutional objectives

Meeting of the Executive Committee convened to raise funds for the erection of a Public Hall and Library for the use of the inhabitants there held at Lochgoilhead on the fifth day of November Eighteen hundred and ninety five as Trustees and in trust for purposes to be set forth in a Declaration of Trust to be executed by my said disponees but which purposes must not be inconsistent or at variance with the stipulations and provisions hereinafter contained... it is hereby expressly stipulated and agreed that the said ground shall be used solely as a site for a public Hall and Reading Room and other suitable offices in connection therewith and for a Bowling Green if desired and that ground shall in all time coming be used solely for that purpose and for no other use or purpose whatever and without prejudice to what is before written it is hereby further provided and declared that at no time shall spirituous or other intoxicating liquors be sold on the said piece of ground or in the buildings thereon and that nothing shall ever be done or permitted to be done therein which may create or tend to create a nuisance in the neighbourhood or be injurious to the amenity of the adjoining property...
