Constitutional objectives
The company’s objects are to advance the use of reminiscence and community history to enable people to be actively involved in their community, share their memories, learn from one another, learn new skills and record, document and archive knowledge of the past in order to educate the public about social history, including without prejudice to the foregoing generality by:- (a) undertaking reminiscence work across the community. (b) organising, promoting, generating and fostering individual and group work on life experiences in Edinburgh and further afield in Scotland. (c) the provision of a museum and museum services, including the curation and display of the collection. (d) providing individuals, groups and communities confidence, abilities and facilities to relate, write and present their own history or the benefit and education of the public generally. (e) involving individuals, groups and communities in new educational opportunities. and For the avoidance of doubt, the company may seek to achieve the objects by working outwith Scotland if appropriate opportunities for partnership working arise.
