02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Moniack Mhor is set up to provide a wide writer development programme for writers of all backgrounds. The programme includes residential writing courses, retreats, residencies, an online programme, mentoring and awards. The charity works with young people in Scotland who have lived experience of the care system, or who are proportionally marginalised, including young people with disabilities, or have experienced discrimination. Moniack Mhor also delivers international activity for writers working in a variety of forms from all contexts.
